Day started when Durga, my maid’s daughter rang the bell at 8’o clock in the morning. It was too early for me to get up on a Saturday but she had forgotten that didi (me) like to get up late on a holiday. I opened the door and went to sleep again allowing Durga to work on her own. She quietly and nicely finished all her work and left after seeking my permission.

I woke up at around 10 and started finalizing my plan for the day. One high priority task was to make part payment for our massive electricity bill and highest priority task was to go to Chandni Chowk to have parantha, chola kulcha, gol gappe, alu kachori, kulfi, rabri and neembu soda. Yes I think that‘s all that I love to have at Chandni Chowk and try not to come back without skipping any of these yummy…
