My friends and I are firm believers in the best way to fully experience everything a restaurant has to offer is by doing the tasting menu. This is usually the best of the best that the place has to offer in each category, so it’s only fair to do your due diligence and give it a whirl. But what to do when a restaurant doesn’t offer a tasting menu? Well obviously you take matters into your own hands and taste the menu. Which brings us to, The Fainting Goat.
First of all, this place is one of my favorites in DC. It’s got a nice dim, chill vibe inside, with multiple narrow levels and two bars, leaving the whole place feeling very intimate. They change up their small scale menu each season, which gives you an excuse to go back every few months and partake in such a tasting event (all research purposes I assure you).
